“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.”
We have been going through the nice fruits of the spirit, mentioned in The Book of Galatians. So far, we’ve covered self-control, kindness, and joy.
Today, we are looking at the fruit of love.
If you have no love in your Christian life, then, as the apostle Paul says, you have nothing. All your actions are futile and are nothing but filthy rags to God.
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”
Do you have the fruit of love?
If you are unsure, you can go to the checklist in the Bible.
